Bed and breakfast accommodation is available at Ormond College, the site of the conference. Conference participants wishing to stay in the college are asked to register for accommodation directly to Ormond College using the form available here.
Ormond has beautiful stone buildings, some dating from 1879, and extensive gardens developed in the same era. We are located on the University of Melbourne campus and close to its facilities, approximately 1.5km from the city centre, and within walking distance to trams, parklands, restaurants and shopping. Meals are served in Ormond’s unique Dining Hall, and our renowned catering contractors are happy to meet any pre-booked dietary requirements.
We provide student style accommodation with shared bathrooms and wardrobe space available in each room (single rooms). These rooms are $65.00 per night. For bookings, complete the Accommodation Booking Form and email to c.partington@ormond.unimelb.edu.au or fax to +61 3 9344 1111.
The last day for booking accommodation in Ormond is June 30 (in Australia).
Ormond also a very limited number of visitor apartments (double rooms). Prices for these apartments range from approximately $80.00 to $115.00 per night. (These will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.) Laundry facilities, tennis/netball courts (BYO equipment) and in-room internet access is available on request. There is a comfortable guest lounge with complimentary newspapers, tea & coffee, a TV and meeting tables. Our reception desk is staffed from 8am until midnight daily. Between midnight and 8am we have a Conference Duty Officer residing on site who is contactable by mobile phone to assist guests outside of office hours.
